NYX Powder Blush in Pinched - Review + Swatch

So after many hours viewing youtube vids and reading up about nice NYX blush colours to try I finally settled on the powder blush in the colour - Pinched. I was super excited to try this as I had heard that it was a good dupe for Nars Orgasm and since NARS is nearly impossible to get in New Zealand or really expensive to buy overseas and get shipped here I thought this was a good option for me to try.

The colour pinched is beautiful - it is a peachy pink colour with a hint of gold shimmer through it. At first I thought the shimmer was going to be a bit much but after my first application I realised it was a stunning colour. It gives a beautiful healthy glow and gives a nice sheen to the cheek without being over the top.

The downside to this blush is it is a bit powdery however I have found using a smaller brush and not picking up as much product tends to help with that. Other than that - I love it. As for being a dupe for Nars Orgasm I'm not too sure on that one. Going by comparison photos they look similar but again I am not sure.

I paid $15NZD for this on Trademe but next time I purchase NYX cosmetics I think I am going to try out Cherry Culture or Pork Daisy - depending who has the best prices and best shipping rates.

Review: OPI - In my back pocket.

One of my favourite colours from OPI - In my back pocket!

I absolutely love this colour!

It is a very bright orange with a hint of yellow - such a bright, breezy colour to brighten up the cold winter days! I tend to wear a lot of black/dark colours and I find this gives me a nice pop of colour on my nails.

It applies well and stays put. I always use a top coat but to be honest I really don't think OPI colours tend to need one to stay put.

Enjoy!

Until next time!

Weekly Nail Polish Review: OPI Jade is the New Black

Hi everyone!

Thanks for checking out my blog - I am going to be doing weekly nail polish reviews. No particular brands, just ones I have tried, loved and want you to know about!

So this week is from OPI - Jade is the new black.

I have to say I have a bit of a sweet spot for OPI Nail Polish's. I love the formula, it goes on so well and stays put. I always apply two coats and a clear top coat and always get great wear out of OPI Nail Polish.

Anyway - when I was browsing for a new colour I came across Jade is the New Black and instantly fell in love! It is this GORGEOUS mid green and looks exactly on your nails as it does in the bottle. As I wear a lot of darker colours I find that my nails are usually something a bit brighter to add that pop of colour to my outfit and this certainly does that! This colour is universal - it is perfect for the cooler months to add some colour to the dreary day or perfect for spring/summer with the floral/pastel colours so I highly recommend keeping a look for this colour.

I purchased mine from Farmers for $26.90 but have found them alot cheaper on: www.candygirl.co.nz

Enjoy!

Welcome!

Hello! And welcome to my blog!

My name is Leanna and this is my beauty/fashion blog. I am in no way a professional - however I do have love and passion for all things beauty and fashion. I am a product junkie and find myself trying out all the new and exciting things, along with being a shopaholic (when the budget allows!) This will be the place that I share my reviews, opinions and tell you where to find the hottest deals!

I am currently self-employed and work from home. I do online sales of all things for the ladies - heels, bags, dresses, cosmetics. I love what I do and it means I have the chance to see and check out the latest items from overseas before they land on our shores here in New Zealand.

This is something that I am truly passionate about. I hope you enjoy my blog and find it as enjoyable as I do!.
